Simulation of7 zinc migration in .a sandy soil

Abstract

The migration of zinc in a sandy soil from Braunschweig, which has been irrigated with sewage water twice a year during the last 80 years, was studied. The migration of ions in a soil can be described with a simulation model; such a model for the migration of Zn-ions in a soil column was developed. Experimental data of leaching experiments in columns and zinc concentrations of samples taken from the irrigated field were available; they were used to verify the simulation model.
